Build a Reno-Area Roofing Contractor List

Every active NSCB C-15 roofing licence in Washoe County, Nevada (Reno, Sparks, Incline Village), with phone, street address and monetary limit, for lining up roofing subcontractors.

Picture yourself running a storm-restoration company in Reno. A hailstorm has just gone through, the insurance adjusters are writing up roof claims faster than your two crews can tear off shingles, and you need licensed roofing subcontractors you can call this week. Nevada makes that a licensing question, not a guessing game: the Nevada State Contractors Board (NSCB) licenses roofers under classification C-15, and that licence is the first thing to check on any sub you put on a roof. On 2026-10-06 Washoe County had 68 active C-15 licences.

The manual way, and what it costs

The public search form on NV NSCB
NSCB's Contractor Listing Search. A County drop-down and a Classification drop-down, and no export.

With 68 rows, the free route is honestly fine for a single storm. Choose Washoe under County and C-15 under Classification, press Search, and NSCB lists all 68 on one page. You can call down that page with a pen. It gets old when the second storm hits in March and you want to know which licences are new, or when a job comes up in Carson City and you need the same list for a second county, because the results page shows only today’s list and offers no download.

The faster way

Nevada Contractor Directory & Leads Scraper (NSCB) runs that same search and returns the 68 rows as a dataset you can sort.

{
  "county": "Washoe",
  "trade": "Roofing"
}

“Roofing” resolves to NSCB’s C-15 Roofing and Siding family, and the family search brings in more than roofers. Of the 68 rows, 32 hold the full C-15 and 30 hold C-15A Roofing, so 62 can take a roof. The other 6 are 3 siding-only firms (C-15B), 2 waterproofing-only (C-15D) and 1 insulation-only (C-15C). For a restoration company that is a useful accident: siding and gutters fail in the same storm, and those 3 C-15B firms are the ones to call for it.

Every one of the 68 rows came back with a phone and a street address in today’s run, and 59 of those phones are in the local 775 area code. The cities split almost evenly: 30 in Sparks and 29 in Reno (one of them spelled “Reno” in mixed case), then 3 in Washoe Valley, 2 each in Sun Valley and Incline Village, and 1 each in Spanish Springs and Verdi. For a subcontractor, monetary_limit matters more than it did for a sales list. It runs from $10,000 to Unlimited (6 firms), and a sub capped at $25,000 cannot take a $40,000 claim, so filter on it before you call.

What you’d do with it

Export to CSV, drop the 6 non-roofing rows unless you need siding, and sort by monetary_limit so the firms that can carry a full tear-off on a large house sit at the top. Keep license_number as the key in your sub roster. The run costs $0.002 per row, which is about $0.14 for all 68 today, so you can run it after every storm and compare: a licence number you have not seen before is a firm that is newly licensed or new to Washoe.

Before you sign one, check the individual licence. The Nevada contractor-license lookup verifies a single licence number, and the how-to guide covers running the directory on a schedule.

Worth knowing

There is no email; NSCB’s Contractor Listing Search has no email field, so the first contact is a phone call. Only active licences are listed, and 4 of the 68 expire before the end of 2026. All 68 here have Nevada addresses. A statewide roofing search on the same day returned 424 licences, 60 of them with a California address; licensees with no Nevada county on file show up only when the county is left empty, so a Truckee roofer working in Reno may be missing from the Washoe list. classifications shows only the C-15 sub-classes this search matched, not every licence a firm holds.

Run it yourself: How to run Nevada Contractor Directory & Leads Scraper (NSCB) walks the whole thing step by step.

Need Las Vegas instead? Build a Clark County Electrical Contractor List uses the same actor for Clark County. If your crews also work the California side of Lake Tahoe, California Contractor Directory by Trade & County pulls C-39 roofers by county from CSLB.
