Use case

Maine Master Electricians (ALMS)

Every active Maine master electrician licence on ALMS Online, with phone, mailing city, state, ZIP and expiry date.

Say you sell panels, EV chargers or generator installs through electricians, and you are opening Maine. Maine has no general contractor licence, so the people you want to reach are its licensed master electricians: the licence that lets someone pull permits and run their own jobs. You want every active one, with a phone number, by Friday, so a rep can start calling Monday.

The manual way, and what it costs

The public search form on Maine ALMS Online licence search
Maine ALMS Online licence search — the official search. One record at a time.

This one is doable by hand, and if you need it once you might. On ALMS Online, choose Individuals, pick the Electricians regulator (the profession list loads after that), choose Master, tick “active licenses only” and search. The results page has an Export to CSV link, and that file holds the whole result, not just the page on screen.

The catches are reliability and repetition. On November 3 and 4, 2026 the site answered with its error page for an hour or more at a time. A search with the profession left on “all” returned 7,953 electricians where the licence types added up to 13,949, so set the profession every time. Each further list you want (journeymen, plumbers, oil and propane technicians) is another search and another download. Doing it again next month to catch new licences repeats all of it.

The faster way

Maine Professional License Lookup & Leads Scraper (PFR) does the same search once and hands back every row at once.

boards picks the Electricians regulator and categories its Master Electrician licence type; set both, because Maine reuses short names like “Master” on other boards. maxResults is set above the 4,747 active master electricians in the November 4, 2026 copy, so the run returns all of them. It took about two seconds in our test. To widen the net, add Journeyman and Limited Electrician to categories (3,204 and 798 more).

What comes back

A row looks like this. This one is a fire-sprinkler firm from a lookup. A master electrician’s row has the same fields, with a mailing city, state and ZIP in place of a street.

For the rep, phone is the column that matters, and 4,609 of the 4,747 master electricians have one. postal_code and city let you split the list into territories. listing_id and extras.expires tell you the licence is real and current when a contact asks how you found them.

What you’d do with it

Export the dataset to CSV and filter on region, because only 2,869 of the 4,747 have a Maine mailing address; most of the rest are in New Hampshire (851) and Massachusetts (675). Sort the Maine rows by ZIP into rep territories and load them into your CRM with the licence number as the external ID, so next month’s run updates the same records instead of duplicating them.

Worth knowing

These are people, not companies. ALMS licenses the electrician, not the business, so a row is a person’s name and a mailing city, state and ZIP, with no street and no company name. Email is not published for electricians at all. The list holds active licences only, from a stored copy whose date is in the run log, so a licence issued since that copy appears on the next refresh.

Run it yourself: How to run Maine Professional License Lookup & Leads Scraper (PFR) walks the whole thing step by step.

Selling into a neighbouring state too? The Vermont professional license lookup covers Vermont’s residential contractors and other OPR professions, and the US contractor license lookup checks or exports contractor licences in 39 jurisdictions in one run.
